Maritime Personal Injury

The firm has extensive experience serving the maritime and transportation community in the defense of maritime personal injury claims brought under the Jones Act and the Death on the High Seas Act, as well as third-party claims brought under § 905(b) of the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act.

Kirk and Ed have defended personal injury cases brought by longshoremen, fishermen, marine construction workers, seamen, drivers, and a variety of other maritime workers, successfully through trial and appeal in both the Federal and State courts. The firm has also defended vessel owners and operators (both blue and brownwater) against wrongful death claims arising out of major casualties.
