Kirk and Ed founded the firm in 1996 and collectively have been practicing maritime law for over 50 years. Jon Werner joined the firm in 2006 and was elected to the partnership in 2014. The most recent addition to the firm occurred in October 2015, when Randy Donatelli joined the partnership. In addition the firm has an Of Counsel, John R. Foster, and an associate, Eileene McKee. The firm’s goal is to provide clients with cost effective legal services with an emphasis on delivering practical results at a reasonable cost. We are able to achieve this goal by ensuring that while each matter has the personal attention of a partner, only the appropriate level of resources is committed to resolution of a particular issue.

The firm represents vessel owners and charterers (both brownwater and bluewater), ocean carriers, freight forwarders, ship managers, protection and indemnity clubs (“P & I Clubs”), hull and machinery underwriters, as well as domestic and international marine insurers.
